Did you start from scratch with this? My first impression was (because I have a dirty mind) that this was a photo of a nipple that had been distorted and had brushes introduced to it, for that flowing hair affect around the outside. My second thought was that it was an egg being dropped into water, again with your experimenting with brushes that emulate hair and using the patching tools in CS. I really have no idea what it truly is but I know I like it. Hair illuminated by a light source through a light box.. or so many random experiments created from nothing, it's very cool. A nice departure from your usual surreal endeavours mate. :)

Someone above said it looks like microscopic photography...that's spot-on. This one feels like some sort of bizarre egg. Love it.
